Saturday's La Liga predictions including Villarreal vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's La Liga fixtures, including Villarreal vs. Barcelona.

Alaves vs. Celta Vigo (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Two La Liga teams looking to move further away from the relegation zone will lock horns at the Mendizorroza on Saturday as Alaves take on Celta Vigo.

The hosts will be hoping to claim their third successive home victory, while the visitors could extend their unbeaten away run to three games with at least a draw in Northern Spain.

We say: Alaves 2-2 Celta Vigo

Both Alaves and Celta Vigo will fancy their chances of securing all three points this weekend, though the visitors will head into this game with a slight psychological edge after winning each of the last three meetings.

The two teams played out score draws in their last league matches, and with little to separate them here, another could be on the cards at the Mendizorroza.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Valencia vs. Rayo Vallecano (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Valencia will be looking to close in on the European places with a victory when they welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Mestalla for their La Liga encounter on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts are unbeaten in each of their last four matches on home soil, while the visitors are hoping to avoid a fourth successive away defeat.

We say: Valencia 1-1 Rayo Vallecano

Both teams will feel that they are more than capable of claiming all three points from this fixture as they aim to climb further up the La Liga table.

However, with little to separate these two top-10 sides, a score draw could be on the cards at the Mestalla.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Mallorca vs. Getafe (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Mallorca will be looking to bounce back from defeat earlier in the week with a victory, when they welcome a resurgent Getafe side to the Iberostar Stadium for their La Liga clash on Saturday evening.

The hosts are unbeaten in each of their last three league games on home soil, while the visitors are yet to win on the road so far this season.

We say: Mallorca 1-1 Getafe

Getafe's recent revival will see them head into Saturday's game in a more positive mood than Mallorca, though the hosts will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways against their relegation-threatened opponents.

A closely-fought contest is set to be played out at the Iberostar Stadium, which may see the two sides forced to share the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Villarreal vs. Barcelona (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Barcelona will be looking to make it back-to-back La Liga wins under new head coach Xavi when they travel to Estadio de la Ceramica on Saturday to take on Villarreal.

The Catalan giants are currently seventh in La Liga, 10 points off leaders Real Madrid, while Villarreal occupy 12th, four points behind their opponents this weekend.

We say: Villarreal 1-2 Barcelona

Villarreal will be desperate to bounce back from the disappointment of the Man United result, and the Yellow Submarine have proved difficult to beat in La Liga this season. That said, Barcelona's record against Villarreal is so impressive, and we have a feeling that the Catalan outfit will shade a close contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
