Olivier Giroud is reportedly facing the axe from the Arsenal starting lineup for tomorrow's match against Bayern Munich.

A report has claimed that Arsene Wenger may leave out Olivier Giroud for Arsenal's Champions League tie against Bayern Munich tomorrow night.

The French international is Arsenal's second highest goalscorer this season, having found the net on 14 occasions.

However, Wenger is tempted to start with a three-pronged attack of Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla against the Germans, according to Goal.com.

All three of those players were named as substitutes for Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

It has been claimed that Wenger was keen to rest the trio ahead of Bayern's visit to North London.
