Rafael Nadal has expressed his belief that tradition may need to be altered at Wimbledon in future tournaments as he faces the possibility of schedule pile-up.
The 28-year-old defeated Mikhail Kukushkin in the third round of the tournament on Saturday, but due to a weather delay affecting the competition programme he could be forced to play two matches in two days.
"I don't know how Wimbledon's going to react after a day like today," Nadal told reporters. "The tradition is here nobody plays on Sunday.
"If I will be playing on Tuesday and the winner will be playing again on Wednesday, that's not good. That's not a positive thing. But it cannot be perfect."
The Spaniard faces Australia's Nick Kyrgios in the fourth round of the tournament.
