David Goffin wins ATP Comeback Player of the Year Award

Belgian David Goffin wins the 2014 ATP Comeback Player of the Year Award.

David Goffin capped the best season of his career by receiving the ATP Comeback Player of the Year Award this afternoon.

The world number 22 has won 44 out of his last 48 matches, and captured four Challenger titles as well as two ATP 250 titles in Metz and Kitzbuhel this year.

"It's an amazing feeling," Goffin is quoted as saying by Tennis World USA.

"it's been a beautiful year for me, I think a few players deserved this trophy.

"I will have a break now and then improve my game again. To get to the top of the rankings, I'm going to give it my best"

The 23-year-old Belgian ends the season with a 72% win rate.
