Spaniard Fernando Verdasco has moved into round three at the Monte Carlo Masters courtesy of a three-set win over Ivan Dodig this afternoon.
Just as he did against Olivier Rochus yesterday, Verdasco lost the opening set in Southern France. Dodig required just one break to take the set ahead of Verdasco 6-3.
However, Verdasco responded in the next set, serving out to win it 6-3 and level out the match at 1-1.
The decider was more straightforward for Verdasco, who claimed an early break on his way to wrapping up a 3-6 6-3 6-1 win.
