World number one Novak Djokovic has clinched the Monte Carlo Masters title with a victory in three sets over Tomas Berdych.
The Serb had a poor start to the match, being broken in his first game due to some poor play off his forehand as Berdych started the game with a good intensity.
However, Djokovic broke back twice to earn the chance to serve for the set, only to be denied by the Czech to extend the opener. However, the 27-year-old was not to be denied as Berdych committed several errors off his serve to concede a break and lose the set 7-5.
The second set was an even battle between the players as they matched each other shot for shot across the court, but Berdych earned the crucial break in the seventh game of the set and held his serve to take it 6-4 and set up a decider.
Djokovic took control of the third set with two early breaks to race into a 4-0 lead, but Berdych kept battling and broke back to keep his chances of the title alive.
However, the Serb maintained his composure to seal the set 6-3 and clinch the title.
