Sharapova has eased into the third round of the Australian Open with a straight-sets victory over Angelique Kerber.
Sharapova dominated the first set, taking it 6-1 with a particularly aggressive style that Kerber found difficult to deal with.
The German then began to find her rhythm, with the second set going by the way of serve before Sharapova broke, which opened up a gap and eased the pressure.
Kerber's confidence seemed to take a knock and began to make unforced errors. Sharapova took full advantage and broke serve again to take the second set 2-6.
Sharapova now heads into the fourth round in top form.
