Agnieszka Radwanska has declared that was she pleased to see the back of her first-round opponent Bojana Bobusic on day one of the Australian Open.
Radwanska was made to work hard by Australian wildcard Bobusic in the opening set in tricky conditions before eventually showing her class to progress.
Bobusic was overwhelmed in the second set but Radwanska admitted that she was annoyed by her slow start to the tournament.
She told reporters: "The worst part of this match was the wind, I think both of us could not win one game from the one side.
"So I was just losing against the wind, pretty much. And I just did not start aggressively enough. But I'm happy I could come back in the first set and play much better in the second set.
"I was hitting the ball too slow but the most important thing is I passed the first round."
The fourth seed will face Irina-Camelia Begu in the second round, in a half of the draw also featuring Maria Sharapova.
