Tomas Berdych has beaten David Ferrer in straight sets at the ATP World Tour Finals in London.
The 26-year-old's win has booked him a place in the semi-finals of the tournament at the expense of world number one Novak Djokovic.
After a tense start to the match, both players found their rhythm, but it was Ferrer who broke the Czech twice to claim the set 6-3.
Another break by the Spaniard in the second seemed to have put him on course for the win, but Berdych broke back before he went on to break again and take the set 7-5.
The hard-hitting world number seven then took total control of the deciding set to win it 6-1.
Berdych will now take on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in Sunday's final.
