Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro has beaten Gilles Simon of France in three sets in the third round of the men's Olympic singles at Wimbledon.
Eighth seed Del Potro stormed to a 6-1 win in the first set before Simon, who is seeded 11th, came back to take the second 6-4.
However, the Argentine earned a decisive break in the third to claim the final set 6-3.
The former US Open winner will play either Spain's David Ferrer or Japan's Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals.
