London Wasps edged a topsy-turvy Aviva Premiership encounter with Leicester Tigers at Adams Park.
There was little to choose between the two sides for much of the match as they exchanged tries and penalties.
Two tries from Billy Twelvetrees gave Leicester, who lost their opening match against Exeter last weekend, a narrow 20-17 half-time lead.
However, Wasps' Christian Wade scored a stunning solo try early in the second half to hand Wasps a 25-23 lead.
Wade danced past several tackles to cross the tryline before the teams exchanged penalty efforts.
It was Wade again who proved to be the difference between the two sides as he notched his hat-trick with another try, with just two minutes left on the clock.
Twelvetrees did notch a late penalty to ensure he scored all 29 of Leicester's points but it proved to be no more than a consolation.
