Julian Salvi to leave Leicester Tigers at end of season

Richard Cockerill confirms that flanker Julian Salvi will leave Leicester Tigers in the summer.

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill has confirmed that flanker Julian Salvi will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Australian's current deal at Welford Road is due to expire in the summer.

Salvi, who joined Leicester in 2011, had been in talks with the club over a new contract, but both parties have failed to agree fresh terms.

"The saga around that is what it is," Cockerill told BBC Sport. "Julian is moving on - that's life."

Salvi has been linked with a move to France and Exeter Chiefs in recent weeks.
