Argentina have tightened their grip on a place in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup thanks to their 20-13 half-time lead over Tonga at the King Power Stadium.
The South Americans fell behind early on, but two tries courtesy of Juan Imhoff and Joaquin Tuculet have put Daniel Hourcade's side in command.

The encounter actually started positively for the Tongans, who took the lead in the seventh minute when Kurt Morath got the better of Imhoff to score the game's first try, although he was unable to add the extras with the resulting conversion.
After that, though, the Argentines gained control of proceedings and once the deficit had been reduced courtesy of a Nicolas Sanchez penalty, Tuculet charged over in the 20th minute. Then, just two minutes later Imhoff followed suit and on both occasions Sanchez was accurate with the conversions.

Yet, just when it appeared that Argentina would cruise to victory, they were pegged back just before the break.
Sanchez and Morath exchanged penalties, before Soane Tonga'uiha ran in Tonga's second try. But, once again Morath failed with his conversion kick.
