Wakefield Trinity Wildcats hammer Catalans Dragons 56-14 to earn their first win in the Super League.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have registered their first win of the Super League season with a 56-14 victory over the Catalans Dragons.

Taulima Tautai and Reece Lyne scored two tries each in the first half, while Jon Molloy added one of his own, as the hosts surged to a 32-0 lead at half time.

Elliott Whitehead bagged two tries after the break and Leon Pryce touched down once, but the Wildcats proved to be too strong for their opponents.

Lyne completed his brace in the second period and Daniel Smith and Paul Sykes also crossed for Wakefield, while Jarrod Sammut kicked 10 goals to wrap up a comprehensive win.
