Catalans Dragons 15-20 St. Helens

St. Helens beat the Catalan Dragons 15-20 in a top-of-the-tabl Super League clash.

St Helens RLFC have defeated Catalans Dragons 15-20 in a tight, top-of-the-table clash this evening.

It was the home side who started the better, with Vincent Duport touching down after just six minutes. The try was converted by Scott Dureau, who then added a penalty to his team's total.

The Saints responded in a positive manner, crossing over for a try of their own courtesy of Lance Hohaia after 15 minutes.

Francis Meli also touched down for the visitors before Sebastien Raguin got a try back for the Dragons on the stroke of half-time. Dureau added the conversion and also slotted a drop goal to send his side into the break with a 15-10 lead.

St. Helens fought back at the start of the second half, going over twice in the space of six minutes through Chris Flannery and Thomas Makinson before closing the game out to grab a valuable 20-15 win.
