Salford City Reds 28-42 Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

Wakefield Trinity Wilcats qualify for the Super League playoffs courtesy of a convincing 42-28 victory over Salford City Reds.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have qualified for the Super League playoffs after a triumphant trip to face Salford City Reds.

The visitors took control of the contest early on, as Frankie Mariano, Andy Raleigh and Dean Collis touched down with no reply.

Danny Williams and Sean Gleeson reduced the deficit for the hosts, but Paul Johnson's score gave Wakefield some breathing space at half-time.

Ben Cockayne, Peter Fox and Lee Smith continued the scoring in the second half, and two Ashley Gibson tries could not stop Richard Agar's men from running away with it.
