Rugby league player Terry Bridge banned four years for doping

Former Oldham reserve Terry Bridge is banned from rugby league for four years after being found guilty of violating a number of doping laws.

Former Oldham reserve Terry Bridge has been hit with a four-year ban after being found guilty of doping.

The UK Anti-Doping agency have confirmed that Bridge has violated a number of doping laws but his suspension will not come into action until February 2016 due to a 10-month prison sentence.

Bridge was handed the jail term after being found in possession of steroids and will serve his sentence following a lengthy investigation.

Bridge is now the second athlete to be suspended following the four-year ban handed to British shot putter Carl Fletcher, who was found guilty of drug trafficking.
