London Broncos 42-16 Castleford Tigers

London Broncos hand Castleford Tigers a one-sided defeat at home.

London Broncos have handed visiting Castleford Tigers a 42-16 defeat this afternoon.

Both David Howell and Chris Bailey crossed the line to give the home team a two-try lead in the opening ten minutes.

Michael Witt converted to extend their total, before the visitors struck back through Nick Youngquest. Kirk Dixon then cut the London club's lead in half with his conversion.

The versatile Castleford man added four points to his total within a matter of minutes, before firing his side ahead with another successful conversion.

The hosts fought back through Craig Gower and Matt Cook, who added the home team's third and fourth tries of the afternoon, with Witt converting both at the half.

Castleford's Ryan McGoldrick added a try to his side's tally after the restart, but Daniel Sarginson and Jason Golden put up another pair of tries on either side of the hour mark for the Broncos.

Chris Melling and David Howell put the final touches to the side's afternoon by scoring a try each in the dying minutes.
