Leeds Rhinos edge out Warrington Wolves to book Challenge Cup final spot

Leeds Rhinos beat Warrington Wolves 34-10 at Langtree Park to advance through to the final of the Challenge Cup.

Leeds Rhinos have booked their place in the final of the Challenge Cup following a 24-16 victory over Warrington Wolves at Langtree Park.

Rhinos were up and running with less than three minutes played when Kevin Sinfield kicked over following an obstruction in front of the sticks.

It took until the 26th minute until the Loiners extended their advantage, as Ryan Hall touched down in the corner before Sinfield kicked over the extras.

Hall added his second try of the afternoon three minutes before the interval to put Leeds in a commanding position, leaving Sinfield to once more find the target from the resulting conversion.

Warrington had not given up, however, and Chris Bridge found the whitewash shortly after the restart to give his side some hope, although the conversion attempt fell just short.

Joel Moon touched down in the corner on 52 minutes to reclaim the cushion, only for Stefan Ratchford to keep the game alive with a four-pointer of his own following confirmation from the video official.

This time Bridge did find the sticks from the conversion to give his side hope, but Tom Briscoe all but sealed victory for Leeds with 10 minutes remaining with the Loiners' fourth try of the contest.

Ben Westwood did manage to pull the scoreline to within eight points with four minutes remaining, though it was not enough to stop Rhinos advancing through to the final.
