Callum Lancaster hat-trick not enough for Hull FC

Warrington Wolves secure a 24-18 win over Hull FC in the Super League, despite Callum Lancaster scoring a hat-trick for the home side.

Warrington Wolves dominated the second half of their Super League match against Hull FC to secure a 24-18 win this evening, despite Callum Lancaster scoring three tries for the home side.

Lancaster got the hosts off to a strong start when he found the try line 18 minutes into the tie, but efforts from Stefan Ratchford and Ryan Atkins ensured that Warrington were ahead at the break.

Lancaster gave Hull some hope of regaining the lead with his second of the night early in the second half to tie the scores.

However, the Wolves soon started to dominate possession, and were able to open up a 12-point lead with just over 10 minutes left to play when Ben Harrison and Gene Ormsby both went over in the space of seven minutes.

Lancaster managed to complete his hat-trick with just two minutes left, but it was just a consolation for Hull, who are now without a win in their last three Super League outings.
