Hull Kingston Rovers score 10 tries to thrash Wakefield Trinity Wildcats

Josh Mantellatao inspires Hull Kingston Rovers to a 56-6 thrashing of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Hull Kingston Rovers were at their attacking best as they scored 10 tries in a 54-6 thrashing of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats this evening.

After a scrappy opening, the home side found the first try in the 13th minute as a long pass to the left-hand side found Kris Welham in space and he touched the ball down.

The hosts scored a second just two minutes later as Josh Mantellato took advantage from more space down the left-hand side.

Wakefield hit back through Joe Arundel's try, but Albert Kelly breezed through the middle of the pitch to score Hull's third.

The visitors struggled to stop Mantellato all night, and he scored his side's fourth with another neat finish, while a diving Kelly grubba kick set up Graeme Horne early in the second half.

Wakefield looked deflated, and Hull ran in two more tries through winger Kieran Dixon before Ken Sio and John Boudebza crossed the line under the posts.

Tyrone McCarthy completed the rout with his second try of the season in the 78th minute.
