Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage is reportedly keen to strike a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes this summer.
The Molineux outfit have already announced several new arrivals for the 2021-22 season, bringing in Francisco Trincao on loan while Jose Sa, Yerson Mosquera and Rayan Ait-Nouri have penned permanent deals.
However, Wolves could be at risk of losing midfielder Ruben Neves to Manchester United or Arsenal in the coming weeks, and Lage is understood to have already identified a replacement.
According to Noticias ao Minuto, Sporting midfielder Nunes is on Wolves' radar after claiming three goals and two assists from 31 Liga NOS appearances last season.
The 22-year-old was an integral cog in the Sporting machine during their run to the top-flight title, and Sporting are said to be open to offers of around €18m (£15.4m) for the midfielder.
Nunes's existing deal with the Portuguese champions does not expire until 2025, having penned an extension with the club as recently as October 2020.
