Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm that they have signed Paris Saint-Germain youngster Noha Lemina - the brother of Mario Lemina - on an initial loan deal.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the signing of Paris Saint-Germain youngster Noha Lemina.

Despite the departures of several players during January, the majority of which have been on loan, Gary O'Neil has been unable to add to his squad.

However, while a new number nine remains high on his priority list ahead of deadline day, Wolves have been able to get a deal over the line for playmaker Lemina.

The 18-year-old moves to Molineux where he links up with his older brother Mario Lemina, who has established himself as a key man at Wolves over the past 12 months.

Noha arrives in the West Midlands on loan for the remainder of the season, with Wolves holding the option, believed to be €2m, to sign him on a permanent basis in the summer.

Speaking to the club's official website, sporting director Matt Hobbs said: "Noha's an exciting, quick and direct winger. He has good technical ability and had a great football education at PSG. It's an opportunity for him to get a feel for us and we can assess him.

"He'll improve under Gary like all our players do, and Gary and his staff will get a real opportunity to develop him, which will give us an idea on what we do going forward.

"When Mario first joined, his brother had been flagged up by our scouting team. Mario's a driven individual, so doesn't want any favours, but he has real belief in him and thinks he's a Premier League player in the making, and Noha will back himself.

"There's no pressure from anyone here, it's a chance to look at an exciting young talent, who suits how we play with his pace and the spaces we look to exploit on the pitch, so he suits what Gary is doing, and we're excited to see what he can do."

O'Neil acknowledged in a press conference on Wednesday that the teenager is likely to spend time in the academy ranks before being considered for opportunities in the first team.

Lemina has just 15 minutes of senior football under his belt - with that coming on loan at Sampdoria earlier in the season - but he netted four times in seven UEFA Youth League games for PSG as well as contributing 12 strikes and five assists from 36 outings for the Under-19s.
