Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has admitted that a number of injuries to his midfielders have forced him to alter his transfer targets for the January transfer window.
David Edwards, Razak Boukari and Slawomir Peszko have been ruled out for a number of weeks, which in turn has left Solbakken short in the midfield area.
As a result, the Norwegian boss has conceded that he will now need to try to bolster his options in that area.
"We have shortlists of players now and we're working on them," he said. "The problem is governed a bit by the injuries – that makes it more difficult.
"We're normally well equipped with midfielders, but with all the injuries in one area, that forces us to change or think differently about other players."
Solbakken's side are currently 17th in the Championship table.
