Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett: 'We came up short'

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett admits that his side were below par against Derby County.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has admitted that his side were below par during their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Derby County in the Championship.

The Wolves boss said that his team have "fallen short" of expectations during the last two matches, but insisted that they can learn from their mistakes and turn things around.

"We have had a tough week coming up against Ipswich and Derby and we have come up short," he told the club's website. "Both are very good clubs and very good teams but we have to make sure that we learn from it and bounce back and fight back."

Jackett drew one positive from the Derby hammering, hailing Wolves' travelling support as "fantastic".

He added: "The support here for us was fantastic. It was a poor performance and we have to take responsibility for that.

"Our fans come to see us do well and we didn't do well today."

Wolves slipped down to ninth in the table following the defeat, with Derby moving top temporarily.
