Bournemouth pile the pressure on Uwe Rosler with 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic

Bournemouth beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 at Dean Court thanks to goals from Yann Kermorgant and Simon Francis.

Wigan Athletic's poor form continued with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth this afternoon.

Matt Ritchie's 25-yard strike flew inches wide of Scott Carson's goal on 25 minutes, and seconds later Yann Kermorgant saw his curled effort from inside the box saved by the Wigan goalkeeper.

Bournemouth went ahead on 36 minutes when Ritchie curled a cross from the left wing on to the head of Kermorgant, who nodded home at the back post.

Simon Francis doubled the lead on 70 minutes when he applied the finish to a slick Bournemouth passing move.

The defeat keeps Wigan firmly in the bottom half of the Championship table, while Bournemouth climb to 14th.
