Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs has been linked with the vacant manager's job at Wigan Athletic .
The Daily Mail claims that Stubbs is among the frontrunners for the job, following the sacking of Malky Mackay.
Stubbs joined the Edinburgh club as manager at the beginning of the season, and has led them to a Scottish Championship playoff place. His assistant John Doolan was part of Uwe Rosler's backroom staff at Wigan until last July.
Former Wigan player Danny Wilson is also believed to be in contention, with central defender Gary Caldwell expected to take charge on a temporary basis.
The Latics are currently 23rd in the Championship table, eight points from safety with five matches remaining.
