West Ham United have reportedly entered the race to sign France's attacking midfielder Mathieu Valbuena this summer.
Marseille are believed to be willing to listen to offers for Valbuena in the current transfer window, despite playing a key role in Ligue 1 once again last season.
According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old is eager to play in the Premier League, and West Ham manager Sam Allardyce will attempt to steal a march on their rivals by offering £8m for his services.
Valbuena's agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes, revealed last week that there had been contact from clubs across Europe who were eager to register an interest in his client.
Valencia have been repeatedly linked with Valbuena in recent weeks.
