Slaven Bilic doubts January arrivals at West Ham United

Slaven Bilic says that he is not planning to bolster his West Ham United squad before the end of the transfer window.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has admitted that he is unlikely to add to his squad this month.

The Hammers have suffered with a number of injuries over recent weeks, but the likes of Dimitri Payet and Andy Carroll are now closing in on full fitness.

As a result, Bilic has revealed that he will only delve into the transfer market if an "exceptional" player becomes available.

"We have a good squad, a big squad, and [it's] 99% [certain] we will leave it like this and make our signings in the summer," the Croatian told talkSPORT.

"If something exceptional comes along, whether that's a long-term deal for one great player, or a loan deal for a back-up player for six months, we will do it. But we won't buy just because it's the transfer window."

West Ham, who face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday, are sixth in the Premier League.
