West Ham United's Diego Poyet seals Charlton Athletic return

West Ham United midfielder Diego Poyet finalises a loan switch back to his former club Charlton Athletic.

Charlton Athletic have re-signed Diego Poyet on a loan deal until the end of the season.

For the Uruguayan midfielder, the move has sealed a return to The Valley, having left the South Londoners for West Ham United in July 2014.

"I'm very proud to have Diego back," interim head coach Karel Fraeye told the club's official website.

"We know that Diego is someone who will play for the shirt and we have already seen today that everyone in the building is so happy to see him back."

The 20-year-old has been handed the number 39 shirt for his second stint with the Addicks.
