Thomas Tuchel rejects West Ham United approach?

Former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel reportedly rejects an approach from West Ham United to replace Slaven Bilic.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly turned down an approach from West Ham United to replace Slaven Bilic at the London Stadium.

Bilic's job has come under a renewed threat in recent weeks following the Hammers' poor start to the new Premier League season, which has seen them collect just four points from their opening six fixtures.

According to The Mirror, the West Ham hierarchy have already drawn up a shortlist of candidates to replace Bilic should they decide to part ways with him and had earmarked Tuchel as a top target.

Tuchel, who has been out of work since being sacked by Dortmund in May, is said to have "rejected West Ham's interest after being sounded out" about the role in recent days.

The newspaper claims that other contenders on the Hammers' shortlist include Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner, Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic and Napoli's Maurizio Sarri.

Bilic's side next welcome Swansea City to the capital on Saturday in their final game before the international break.
