West Ham United welcome court ruling over Leyton Orient stadium bid

West Ham United welcome the High Court's decision to deny Leyton Orient permission to challenge the tenancy of the Olympic Stadium.

West Ham United have insisted that the process of granting the club sole tenancy of the Olympic Stadium was "robust, fair and transparent".

The High Court rejected Leyton Orient's request to challenge the London Legacy Development Corporation's decision not to grant them a co-tenancy agreement with the Hammers.

The League One outfit accused the corporation of not fully considering their bid to share the ground with the Hammers.

Following the court's ruling, a statement released by the Premier League club said: "West Ham United welcome the decision to not grant permission for a judicial review into the LLDC's process that awarded the club the opportunity to make the Olympic Stadium its home in 2016.

"Although the application for a judicial review would not have had any impact on West Ham United's move to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the club have always believed the process was robust, fair and transparent."

West Ham are due to move into the stadium in 2016.
