Half-Time Report: Ravel Morrison fires West Ham United in front

West Ham United lead Everton at half time thanks to a Ravel Morrison strike.

Ravel Morrison's first Premier League goal separates West Ham United and Everton at half time in this afternoon's Premier League clash.

Both teams made a lively start to the game, but it was Roberto Martinez's side that came closest in the opening stages.

Belgian international Kevin Mirallas curled an effort towards goal in the eighth minute which Jussi Jaaskelainen could only parry, the rebound falling just out of Steven Naismith's reach.

West Ham created few clear-cut chances, but took the lead just after the half-hour mark through former Manchester United youngest Morrison.

The midfielder let fly from 20 yards, beating Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard with the aid of a deflection to score his first Premier League goal and give his side the lead going into the interval.
