West Bromwich Albion reportedly hold talks with former Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick over their managerial vacancy.

Ralf Rangnick has reportedly held discussions with West Bromwich Albion regarding their managerial vacancy.

Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton had been widely tipped to replace Roy Hodgson, who agreed to take charge of the England national team earlier this month.

However, having been rebuffed in their approach for Hughton, the Baggies have now turned their attention German coach Rangnick, according to BBC Sport.

The 53-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Schalke in September of last year.

His managerial career has also seen him take charge of Stuttgart, Hoffenheim and Hannover 96.
