Villarreal 1-1 Osasuna

Villarreal have failed to put suitable distance between them and the relegation zone after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Osasuna.

Bruno opened the scoring for the home side on the stroke of half time when his left-footed effort beat Andres Fernadez in the Osasuna goal.

Raul Garcia levelled matters in the 77th minute after playing a give-and-go with Dejan Lekic on the edge of the area before finding the top corner with a right-footed shot.

Villarreal pushed forward in search of a winner and had plenty of efforts at goal but to no avail.

The result leaves them three points clear of Sporting Gijon.
