Belgian youngster Zakaria Bakkali has insisted that money was not a factor in his decision to join Valencia on a free transfer this summer.
The 19-year-old turned down a host of other offers to join Los Che after seeing his contract expire at Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven.
"I came to Valencia due to the words of the directors and the way they treat young players," Superdeporte quotes the attacker as saying.
"There were many clubs interested in me before the transfer window opened. I was convinced I wanted to play in La Liga.
"If I'd have been looking for the money, I would have gone to play in Ukraine. I really like it here. The climate is magnificent and it's not far from Morocco. Fortunately, Sofiane Feghouli and Nuno Santo speak French and help me."
Bakkali has signed a five-year contract with the Spanish outfit.
