Agent: 'Rangers want Danny Holmes'

Tranmere Rovers youngster Danny Holmes is wanted by Rangers, according to his agent Jonathan Hope.

The 23-year-old has also reportedly attracted the interest of Liverpool and Celtic with his impressive performances in League One this season.

It is Rangers, however, who are seemingly in the driving seat despite their financial troubles.

"I have had open talks with Rangers regarding Danny Holmes and it was looking positive until the current crisis at Rangers happened. This will soon be resolved. He will improve the team and it's important to me as his agent to ensure that he goes to the right club," Hope told talkSPORT.

"I have spoken with Danny and he would love to be a Rangers player as he wants to play at the highest level."

Holmes is currently in his second spell at Rovers.
