AZ Alkmaar forward Jozy Altidore is the subject of a bid from Sunderland, according to a report.

Premier League outfit Sunderland have reportedly made a move for AZ Alkmaar forward Jozy Altidore.

The 23-year-old, who scored 23 league goals for the Dutch club last season, is believed to have attracted the interest of a number of European clubs this summer.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the Black Cats have made an official move for the American international, who had a spell with Hull City in 2009.

Fulham are also reported to be interested in signing the forward.
