AZ Alkmaar accept Sunderland offer for Jozy Altidore

AZ Alkmaar have accepted an offer from Sunderland for striker Jozy Altidore.

The Dutch club confirmed on its official website that the USA international will now discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with the Black Cats.

Altidore, who once completed a brief loan spell at Hull City, has scored 51 times in 93 appearances for AZ and helped them clinch the Dutch cup last season.

Sunderland are understood to have had an initial bid for the player turned down.
