Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill describes Simon Mignolet's late double save in the FA Cup quarter-final at Everton as "world class".

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has heaped praise on Black Cats keeper Simon Mignolet following today's FA cup quarter-final at Everton.

The Belgian keeper denied the home side victory late on with a double save to ensure a replay was forced.

Mignolet first denied John Heitinga before reacting quickly to deny Nikica Jelavic on the rebound.

"They were two unbelievable saves," said O'Neill afterwards.

"The first one was world class and then he made a magnificent effort to recover and save from Jelavic."

The two sides will meet again to decide who will progress to the semi-finals at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday, March 27.
