Stoke City boss Mark Hughes eyes win over Everton

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes claims that his side is confident enough to beat Everton at the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has backed his side to beat Everton at the Britannia Stadium tomorrow night.

The Potters have won four of their last six games in the Premier League, pushing them up to 10th place in the table.

Meanwhile, Everton sit just six points above the relegation zone following a four-match winless run.

While he admits that the Toffees are likely to pose his team problems on Wednesday, Hughes believes that Stoke have the confidence to pick up another victory.

"A huge thing in the Premier League is confidence, and at the moment we are hugely confident," the Welshman is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "Everton are maybe less so given the fact that they haven't carried their European form into the Premier League.

"They did okay against Arsenal, albeit they lost the game on Sunday, and we know that they are a good side. That said, we are playing well and we see it as another opportunity for maximum points. That is what we are looking for."

Stoke made it two consecutive wins in the Premier League last weekend with a 1-0 victory at home to Hull City.
