Sports Mole understands that Tottenham Hotspur have received a loan bid with an £8.4m option to buy for Juan Foyth from Italian outfit Hellas Verona.

Italian outfit Hellas Verona have submitted a loan bid for Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth.

The 22-year-old has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho, playing just 66 minutes of Premier League football all season and starting only one match.

The Argentine was hauled off at half time of the 2-2 draw with Norwich City on December 28 and is yet to feature in the top flight again since.

Sources have told Sports Mole that Spurs are open to letting Foyth leave the club on loan this month, and that Hellas Verona have made contact with chairman Daniel Levy over a short-term deal.

The offer contains a €10m (£8.4m) option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, in addition to a 70% guarantee of games played.

Foyth is understood to be open to a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in order to boost his chances of making Argentina's squad for the Copa America on home soil this summer.

Verona currently sit ninth in the Serie A table, with only the top three boasting a better defensive record than Ivan Juric's side.

Foyth joined Spurs for a reported fee of £8m in 2017 and still has two years to run on his contract at the North London club.
