Report: Aaron Lennon close to Everton switch

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Aaron Lennon is close to making a permanent return to Everton, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Aaron Lennon is reportedly close to sealing a permanent return to Everton.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park, and is believed to be interested in returning to the Toffees on a long-term basis.

Lennon netted two goals in 14 Premier League games for Roberto Martinez's side last term.

According to Sky Sports News, Everton and Spurs have agreed a fee in the region of £4.5m for the former England international, who has also been linked with Aston Villa.

Lennon has scored 30 goals in 365 appearances for Spurs since joining from Leeds United in 2005.
