Mauricio Pochettino responds to Danny Ings rumours

Mauricio Pochettino refuses to be drawn on the speculation that Spurs made a £12m bid for Burnley hitman Danny Ings.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has refused to be drawn on the rumours linking him with a move for Burnley striker Danny Ings.

The 21-year-old's contract expires this summer but Spurs have reportedly had a £12m bid accepted - a move designed to force rivals Liverpool to back down for his signature.

However, Pochettino, whose side are gearing up for a post-season friendly with Sydney FC on Sunday, says that he will not add to the speculation.

"I think there are a lot of rumours about that [Ings] now," he told reporters. "I will not comment about [them].

"I think it's not the right moment. It's the moment to enjoy Sydney. I'm looking forward to Saturday's game."

Ings's 12 Premier League goals last season were not enough to keep the Clarets in the top flight.
