The father of Lille's Eden Hazard, Thierry, has hinted that a switch to Tottenham Hotspur may be a "better" option for the playmaker.
Reports emerged this week suggesting that a proposed move from France to White Hart Lane was close to completion.
While Hazard has tried to distance himself from the rumours, his father believes that his son needs more "opportunities".
"For now I can only say what Eden said on Monday on TV. Yes, there is interest from Spurs, and no, there's no offer," said Hazard Snr.
"The priority for Eden is one thing - games. Opportunities. It might be better to join a club just below the biggest."
Hazard is believed to have attracted attention from elite clubs all around Europe, including Real Madrid.
