Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has reportedly targeted Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Rose to replace Keiran Richardson.
It was revealed on Monday that Richardson has revealed his desire to leave Sunderland and O'Neill has signalled his intent to bring in Rose as a direct replacement, according to Goal.com.
The 22-year-old can play at left-back or left-midfield, but he faces tough competition for places at White Hart Lane, with both Gareth Bale and Benoit Assou-Ekotto likely to hold on to starting roles down the left-hand side for Tottenham.
Rose has made 29 appearances for Spurs and he also made four appearances for Team GB at the London Olmypic Games.
