Barcelona allegedly failed with an approach for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane in 2019.
Despite holding a long-term contract at the North London outfit, Kane has frequently been linked with a move away from the Premier League giants.
While that now appears unlikely given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, it appears that Barcelona held an interest in the England international last year.
However, according to reports in Spain, the Catalan side made little progress with their efforts to bring in the free-scoring frontman.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu is said to have made contract with Spurs counterpart Daniel Levy, only for the latter to reject the suggestion out of hand.
Kane, now 26 years of age, is tied to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
