Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale suggests that he is prepared to continue his career with the club.

Gareth Bale has provided the biggest indication yet that he is prepared to remain a Tottenham Hotspur player next season.

A number of reports have linked the Welsh international with a move away from White Hart Lane following the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Despite admitting that it was "disappointing" to have not done enough to play alongside Europe's elite clubs next year, the 23-year-old was quick to talk about the future with Spurs.

"We fought hard this season, the team and the manager have been great," he told Spurs TV. "We have got the record points for the club in the Premier League. That would normally be enough to qualify for the Champions League, but it's not meant to be again.

"It's disappointing, but we will pick ourselves up again. We will just have to regroup this season and give it another go."

"It was great to get the win [against Sunderland] but the clouds just came over and made it a little bit duller, but it's something we have to learn from, we are a young squad, and we will take it in to the future."

Bale's services have been paired with a number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
