Real Madrid 'to match Tottenham Hotspur's lucrative offer to Gareth Bale'

Real Madrid will reportedly match Tottenham Hotspur's new big-money offer to Gareth Bale in a bid to bring him to the Bernabeu this summer.

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to match Tottenham Hotspur's new deal for Gareth Bale in an attempt to lure him to the Bernabeu this summer.

The Wales international has been tipped to stay at White Hart Lane following the club's offer of a bumper new contract, which is thought to have a clause stating that Bale can leave the club next summer for £50m.

Despite reports suggesting that Bale will give Spurs another season, Madrid are planning to match the star's wages, as well as offer an image rights deal, in a bid that will not go over £43m, according to the Daily Star.

The contract with the Spanish giants, who will be searching for a new manager when Jose Mourinho leaves at the end of the season, is said to be a five-year deal.
