Tim Sherwood: 'Gareth Bale will stay at Tottenham Hotspur'

Tottenham Hotspur youth team coach Tim Sherwood believes that Gareth Bale will not leave the club this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur youth team coach Tim Sherwood has expressed his belief that Gareth Bale will not leave the club this summer.

Andre Villas-Boas's side were pipped to the final Champions League qualification place by North London rivals Arsenal on the last day of the Premier League season.

Bale has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane, but Sherwood believes that the 23-year-old Welshman will remain a Spurs player.

"He's fantastically happy at Tottenham," Sherwood told talkSPORT.

"I see him around the training ground every day, he's got a good working relationship with the manager and he loves his teammates. They show him the respect that he deserves and he gives it back to them.

"I don't see him banging the door down trying to get a move. I believe one million per cent he will stay at Tottenham."

Bale was crowned PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year last month after scoring 21 league goals this season.
